What Is A DRPG?

A Dungeon Crawler Roleplaying Game, or DRPG for short is a subgenre of Japanese Roleplaying games (JRPGs). In a DRPG you explore a large dungeon, usually in a first person perspective, although certain games may opt for top down perspectives. Major traits of the DRPG genre are a focus on resource management, exploration, and returning to hubs or checkpoints frequently.
